How credits work when you embed
AI credits are consumed by drafting and edits — including edits your end users make inside the embed. They're billed to your workspace, not theirs, so you can bundle usage into your own pricing however you like.

Can I embed the editor in my product?
Yes, on Pro and above — there's no separate embed add-on or platform tier. The plugin SDK mounts the full editor in your app; see the plugin reference for the quickstart.
Do my end users need Dezignee accounts?
No. Your backend mints a short-lived session token per user from your API key, so your users stay behind your own login and never see a Dezignee sign-in.
Who pays for AI credits my embed's end users spend?
You do — credits are billed to your workspace regardless of which end user triggered the edit, so you can bundle usage into your own pricing however you like.
What's a credit?
Credits meter AI usage — chat drafting, suggestions, and image generation, including edits made inside an embed. Routine manual editing in the block editor doesn't spend credits.
What happens when I run out?
On Free, credits reset the next day. On paid plans they reset monthly, and you're never blocked: extra usage bills as simple pay-as-you-go overage, or you can add a credit bucket.
How does annual billing work?
Annual plans are billed once a year for the price of about ten months — roughly 17% off versus paying monthly.
Can I bring my own OpenAI key?
Yes, on Business. Connect your own key so AI generation runs on your account instead of metered Dezignee credits.
